MDF is dedicated to restoring, improving, and protecting mule deer and Blacktail deer habitat, resulting in self-sustaining, healthy, free ranging and huntable mule deer populations. Thanks to the work of wildlife agencies and the NWTF's many volunteers and partners, today there are nearly 7 million wild turkeys and nearly 3 million turkey hunters. Since 1985, the NWTF and it's cooperators have spent more than $224 million upholding hunting traditions and conserving more then 9.6 million acres of wildlife habitat. The NWTF is a non profit organization with more than 500,000 members in 50 states and 16 foreign countries. It supports scientific wildlife management on public, private, and corporate lands as well as wild turkey hunting as a traditional North American sport. The members of the ADA are a diverse group and include hunters, lawyers, teachers, construction workers, and people from all walks of life and all spectrums of society. Members are the heart of the organization and member participation is the key that helped the organization grow from its inception at a backyard barbeque to one of the largest conservation organizations in the state. Currently, we have about 500 members who are involved in all kinds of projects such as habitat improvements, youth camps, and our annual banquet.
